Evaluation - Conventions.

For my magazine i created an Indie/Pop magazine that is aimed at 13-18 year olds. The magazine is aimed more towards girls as that was the most popular in my questionaire, but men can also read it.

I modelled my magazine on magazines such as NME and Kerrang, these magazines have the same Genre as my magazine.

The main conventions of my magazine are;
- Cluttered layout e.g. Coverlines
- A main image in the center of the magzine
- Coverlines around the Image
- My hotspot is my Image
- Bold Masthead
- Darker colour scheme to link with genre, also it was requested in questionaire.

- Plain background
- Contains lots of information
- Picture to illustrate the name of the magzine

Double page spread;
- One main image of the model
- Interview
- Pull quotes and standfirst
- Page numbers
- Seperate image but linked with main one
- Same colour scheme throughout
